So, how does the average person with a job plus a combination of any or all of commuting, kids, family commitments, weekly shopping, gardening, DIY, other hobbies, and who doesn’t live outdoors, make significant progress with these skills? In this presentation, I will examine proven ways of accelerating your progress with bushcraft skills and knowledge, providing actionable take-aways for you to apply in your own bushcraft skill development. Main Stage: 10:20 Monday 29th The audio podcast version of #AskPaulKirtley has become one of the most popular outdoor podcasts on iTunes. These question-and-answer shows have also had over a 100,000 views on YouTube and Paul Kirtley’s Blog. Bring a question to ask and I will answer as many as I can in the time available, live on stage. Main Stage: 11:30 Monday 29th Many who enjoy Bushcraft would love to add canoeing to their ways of accessing nature and heading out camping for a few days. But how do you get started? And what safety precautions should you take, particularly if you have kids? Ray Goodwin is one of the foremost professional canoe coaches in the UK, as well as literally having written the book on canoeing. In this presentation Ray shares tips and insights from his many years of helping people get started with paddling as well as canoeing with his own young family. Take an introduction to open canoeing or an improvers session to hone your paddling skills, with none other than paddling maestro Ray Goodwin. 13:00-14:30 Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th Start your paddling journey with one of the UK’s top canoe coaches.
